Beats by Dre today teased its new Powerbeats Pro 2 wireless earbuds, which will hit store shelves sometime in 2025. In a clip shared on X and Instagram, MLB superstar Shohei Ohtani can be seen wearing the Powerbeats Pro 2.
The new earbuds resemble the existing Powerbeats Pro, which were released back in 2019, but sport a more vertical, slimmer design. No other new features or specific details about the Powerbeats Pro 2 have been released at this time.

Powerbeats Pro are promoted as a fitness-focused version of Apple’s AirPods Pro, which boast built-in adjustable ear hooks to keep the earbuds in place. The current Powerbeats Pro have the same H1 chip that debuted alongside the AirPods 2. They are IPX4-rated for sweat and water resistance, offer up to nine hours of battery life, and include four different sized silicone ear tips.
While Beats has not yet announced the Powerbeats Pro 2, possible upgrades could include longer battery life, improved sound, and a USB-C charging case, but we won’t know until an official announcement is released by Beats. However, we will likely see more teaser videos over the coming months, so stay tuned.
