You don’t need to wait until September to see the four models in the iPhone 17 series. Images of them leaked out already, including a new glamour shot showing the entire collection, including the slim model likely called the iPhone 17 Air.
A highlight of the image is the rumored move from a camera hump to a camera bar in most of Apple’s upcoming handsets.
iPhone 17 pictures in all their glory
It’s a very safe bet that Apple plans to release new iPhones in September — it’s a long-held habit. And the company isn’t very good at keeping the details of upcoming models under wraps, so we already know much about the iPhone 17 series.
That includes the design changes. The details on these reportedly come from specs Apple sends accessory makers so they can have new cases ready to fit the upcoming handsets when they launch.
Noted tipster Majin Bu posted an image Wednesday on X that purportedly shows all the 2025 iPhone models. From left to right, these are the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air.

Even a casual glance at the picture shows the standout change: the wide camera bars that’ll supposedly appear on the two Pro models. Expanding the width of the iPhone 16’s camera hump would allow more room for battery inside those handsets.
More space inside for the battery would definitely be a bonus for the iPhone 17 Air, as it’ll supposedly be the thinnest iOS device ever, possibly reducing its battery life.
Only the base-model iPhone 17 will supposedly keep its smaller camera hump.
There’s nothing tremendously revelatory about the new Majin Bu image, as it matches the pictures of dummy iPhone 17 units that first surfaced in March. Still, it shows Apple’s upcoming products in their best light.
Other iPhone 17 rumors
Because it shows the backs of Apple’s 2025 models, the image does nothing to confirm an earlier report that the basic iPhone 17 will have a larger screen.
And, of course, a picture reveals nothing about the internal specs of the handsets. But previous iPhone 17 rumors offer insights into what to expect. For example, the base model might keep the same chip and RAM as the current version, while all the others could get a faster processor and 50% more RAM.
Whether prices will go up because of tariffs imposed by the Trump administration remains an open question.
