A day after Apple announced its Scary Fast event for October 30, which we believe will be a Mac-focused keynote, a leaker shared the box of one of the possible launches. According to ShrimpApplePro on X, he found on Weibo what’s possibly the box art of an M3 Pro (or M3 Max) MacBook Pro.
While we can’t say for sure this is exactly what the box will look like, there are a few hints that could make us believe that this is legit. First of all, it follows the pattern of the M1 Pro/Max and M2 Pro/Max MacBook Pro boxes. Secondly, the wallpaper of this MacBook Pro resembles the image from the invite Apple sent the press.
Over the past few events, the invite usually teases the upcoming exclusive wallpaper of these announcements instead of hinting at a feature or a product. That said, this Scary Fast invite has an easter egg that leads us to believe that this keynote will be all about the Mac.
What should we expect from the M3 Pro/Max MacBook Pro
Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman reported that Apple is working on a chip with up to 16 CPU cores and 40 GPU cores. Based on the 3nm technology process, this processor will likely bring a more impressive spec bump than M1 to M2.
In addition, a DigiTimes report suggested that Apple would improve the miniLED display with a new generation of this panel. Although it could be brighter, the publication believes Apple will only upgrade the display to make it more energy efficient.
While the current high-end MacBook Pro models have great battery life, they don’t compare to the MacBook Air, which can last up to 15 hours of usage.
Below, you can learn more about everything we expect from the Scary Fast event. BGR will bring everything about it as soon as Apple makes the announcements.
