Quick Points

  • So, Qualcomm just dropped a new laptop called the Humain Horizon Pro at their Snapdragon Summit. It’s designed to be the go-to for what they’re calling "agentic AI personal computing."
  • The specs sound pretty impressive: it runs on Snapdragon's X Elite processor, has its own OS called “Humain One,” bursts out with up to 32GB of RAM, and has a neat 14-inch 2.8K OLED display.
  • It model claims to think up to 100 times faster than a human, which feels like something right out of a sci-fi flick, right?
  • They also highlight energy efficiency—a 40% reduction in power consumption compared to similar systems isn'thing to snooze at!
  • No pricing info yet or release date revealed, but you can sign up as an early adopter if you're super keen.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit 2025 is bringing us an all-new Humain Horizon Pro laptop. Announced today (September 25), the new laptop aims to tackle the “future of agentic AI personal computing.”

The Humain Horizon Pro laptop, powered by the Snapdragon X Elite processor, is the first PC from global AI company Humain, established in Saudi Arabia. Not only is it designed with agentic AI in mind, but it also comes with its own “Humain One OS” — an AI-powered interface.

Announced during a fireside chat with Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon and Humain CEO Tareq Amin at the company’s annual event, the AI-first laptop brings a recreated “operating system,” named Humain One. It runs on Windows on Arm, and it wants to deliver the next step in agentic AI on a PC.

This AI interface is expected to be designed as a “unified, adaptive interface to manage enterprise workflows, communications, and AI applications.” Interestingly, it claims to also operate up to “100 times faster than human thought.” If anything, this shows what the Snapdragon X Series processor can offer.

Here’s a sneak peek at the OS, according to its Humain website.

As for what else we know, the Horizon Pro laptop is also set to arrive with up to 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD and 18 hours of battery life. Apparently, the Horizon Pro laptop will also deliver a 14-inch 2.8K OLED with a 16:10 aspect ratio from Samsung. Take note, it doesn’t run on the recently announced Snapdragon X2 Elite CPU.

What’s more, it comes with a 40% reduction in power consumption compared to competing systems (another prop to Snapdragon X Elite), and it integrates an Arabic-first Saudi LLM known as “ALLAM.” This operates locally on device, but apparently other AI models can be used, too.

“The Humain Horizon Pro represents the future of intelligent personal computing. Powered by our Snapdragon X Elite processors, it delivers groundbreaking performance and innovative AI-first experiences for enterprises and consumers,” Qualcomm’s Amon said.

“The Humain Horizon Pro represents a paradigm shift in agentic AI personal computing, especially for enterprise environments where AI actively collaborates with users, both locally and in the cloud, to boost productivity,” said Humain’s Amin.

The all-new Humain Horizon Pro laptop will be available to consumers and businesses around the globe, although there’s no release date just yet. However, those interested can register to be an “early adopter” at the humain.ai website.

Pricing has yet to be announced, but we do know it will also be available via a monthly subscription to Humain’s AI solutions suite for enterprise. But this is also for the general consumer, too.

There’s still plenty to learn about Humain’s AI-first Horizon Pro PC and its Humain One OS, so stay tuned for more!

Sounds Nerdy Insights

  • What’s interesting here's how much emphasis they're putting on AI integration; it’s really aiming to change how we interact with personal computers. Imagine your laptop actually collaborating with you—I mean, it could change the game for productivity.
  • These choice of operating system matters, too—running Windows on Arm offers compatibility benefits but also sets certain expectations about performance for everyday tasks versus more demanding ones.
  • It fact that early adopters can register shows they’re banking on consumer excitement before seeing how this will play in real life. I wonder how long that kind of hype can sustain interest among core tech users.
  • A local Arabic modeling language built into the system acknowledges market specificity, hinting they have global ambitions but are considering local needs. That's clever marketing!
  • On that battery life note—18 hours sounds amazing! But folks tend to be skeptical until they see it for themselves. We've interestingly, heard bold battery claims before.
  • A subscription model for enterprise customers might lower barriers and invite more users into their ecosystem without the hefty upfront price—definitely a modern approach.
  • This makes me think about actual user experience; while all these features look great on paper, real-world usability will ultimately dictate whether this laptop finds its place in homes and offices. Will people adapt or resist? That's going to be key!
