In brief: It seems that one place AMD’s graphics cards are enjoying plenty of success is Germany. According to figures from prominent online retailer Mindfactory, the Radeon RX 9070 XT was the best-selling GPU by far last week, followed by the RX 7800 XT. There are a couple of caveats, though.
We’re big fans of the RX 9070 XT, awarding the RDNA 4 card a score of 85 in our review and noting that we expect it to sell very well at its $600 MSRP – a price AMD was hoping to maintain by providing retailers with a $50 rebate.
Despite the card now being sold above MSRP after the initial stock sold out, TechEpiphany posted that it was Mindfactory’s best-selling card last week, moving 355 units. It was followed by the RX 7800 XT (165 units) and Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti (140 units).
According to the data, 655, or 50.19%, of all the GPUs sold by the retailer were from Team Red. 630 (47.5%) were from Nvidia, while 30 (2.26%) were from Intel.

Interestingly, the data also includes the average selling price for the companies’ products. AMD’s was 686 euros ($777), while Nvidia, with its much more expensive cards, had an ASP of 1,096 euros ($1,241). It means that Team Green took almost 60% of the total revenue – 690,646 euros ($782,411). AMD cards generated 456,296 euros ($516,923), and Intel made 9,314 euros ($10,551).
The average price in Europe for a Radeon 9070 XT is around 800 euros ($906), while the RX 9070 is going for about 729 euros ($825).
In March, AMD CEO Lisa Su said that the Radeon 9000 series is AMD’s most successful GPU launch ever, selling 10 times more units than its predecessors in just one week on the market.
There are a couple of things to remember here, though. Mindfactory has a reputation for favoring AMD, offering promotions, discounts, and bundles featuring its products, which help push up sales figures.
Also, the RX 9070 XT’s success in Germany isn’t reflected in the Steam survey. Valve’s latest results show that the card still isn’t being used by enough participants to break into the main GPU chart, which continues to be dominated by Nvidia – almost three-quarters of GPUs on the list are from the green side.
