Galaxy S25 Edge promises ‘all-day battery’ in leaked marketing that will definitely age well

Samsung just confirmed that its Galaxy S25 Edge will be fully unveiled on May 12, but leaks continue to surface, this time with a promise of “all-day battery” that doesn’t seem to line up very well with the leaked capacity of this device.

It’s been leaked multiple times that the Galaxy S25 Edge with its super-thin 5.84mm profile will have a battery capacity of just 3,900 mAh. That’s smaller than the base Galaxy S25, despite the Edge having a physically larger and higher resolution display.

That seems like a bad time.

Yet, in newly leaked marketing materials, Samsung claims that the Galaxy S25 Edge will have “all-day battery” life. That’s in images posted by Android Headlines, and is followed by a disclaimer.

All-day battery fit for slim

Actual battery life varies by network environment, feature and apps used, frequency of calls and messages, the number of times charged, and many other factors. Estimated against the average usage profile compiled by UX Connect Research. Independently assessed by UX Connect Research between 2025.03.12-2025.03.20 in US with pre-release versions of SM-5937 under default setting using LTE and 5G Sub6 networks. Not tested under 5G mmWave network.

While battery disclaimers like this are reasonably common, with a near-identical one used for the Galaxy A56, Samsung’s claim is just pretty hard to believe. Even in our base Galaxy S25 review, our Damien Wilde expressed concerns about the battery needing a midday charge on busier days. Again, that’s for a phone with a bigger battery and a smaller, lower resolution display.

Other images in this same leak detail the 200MP main camera, use of titanium in the build, IP68 dust/water resistance rating, and use of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the rear of the device.

Some of Samsung’s official cases are also shown, with none of them having a magnet for Qi2, or at least the lame version that Samsung supports.
