Last month, we got to know that Samsung is developing two new Galaxy Tab A-series tablets: Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+. These tablets are expected to succeed the Galaxy Tab A8 8-inch (2019) and the Galaxy Tab A8 10.5-inch (2021), respectively. Samsung accidentally confirmed the existence of the two tablets through support pages on its website.
So far, the Galaxy Tab A9 has been spotted on the FCC, Wi-Fi Alliance, and Bluetooth SIG platforms. The Galaxy Tab A9+ has been seen on the Bluetooth SIG and Geekbench websites. Now, the Galaxy Tab A9+ has received FCC certification, revealing the tablet’s dimensions, battery capacity, charging speed, and connectivity options.
According to FCC, the Galaxy Tab A9+ (SM-X210) measures 257.11 x 168.66 x 6.94mm. In comparison, the Galaxy Tab A8 10.5-inch measures 246.8 x 161.9 x 6.9mm. That means the Galaxy Tab A9+ could have a larger screen than its predecessor. The certification platform reveals that the tablet has a 7,040mAh battery with 15W charging speed and dual-band Wi-Fi, similar to the Galaxy Tab A8 10.5-inch.
Leaked Galaxy Tab A9 specifications
The Galaxy Tab A9+ has also been benchmarked on Geekbench, which reveals that the tablet features a Snapdragon 695 processor, 4GB RAM, and Android 13 (One UI 5.1). The variant of the Galaxy Tab A9+ (SM-X216B) that was benchmarked suggests it will also feature 5G connectivity. Overall, the upcoming tablet seems to be a huge departure from its predecessor, featuring a larger display, more powerful processor, and faster connectivity options.
As for the Galaxy Tab A9 (SM-X115), FCC certification reveals that it is 210.7mm tall and 124.7mm wide. It features a 5,000mAh battery, 15W charging speed, and 5G connectivity. Currently, its processor, RAM, and Android version are unknown. According to various rumors, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Tab A9 and the Galaxy Tab A9+ by the end of this year. Those reports seem believable to us, as Samsung is now working on certifying these tablets.
