Samsung’s latest flagship tablets have arrived, but with some significant changes including no smaller size and no Snapdragon processors, instead switching to MediaTek.
The Galaxy Tab S lineup has, for the past couple of generations, included three sizes. A base Tab at around 11-inches, a “Plus” at 12.4-inches, and an “Ultra” at 14.6-inches. But, for the Galaxy Tab S10, that smallest size is nowhere to be found. Samsung will instead only be offering its super-sized Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra options.
That also raises the starting price of the series to $999.
For that price, you’ll get a similar package on both tablets. They’re both using “Dynamic AMOLED” displays – 12.4-inches on Tab S10+ and 14.6-inches on Tab S10 Ultra – offer 256GB of storage at minimum, have 12GB of RAM, and run Android 14 out of the box. Samsung hasn’t confirmed how many updates these tablets will see.
The displays on both tablets also feature an anti-reflective design.
Upgrades on the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra you won’t find on the “Plus” include a 1TB storage option, up to 16GB of RAM, and Wi-Fi 7 support.
But perhaps the biggest change is that Samsung is doing away with the usual Snapdragon processors found in these tablets, instead adopting MediaTek’s high-end Dimensity 9300+ chip. Samsung says this will still be faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in the Tab S9 lineup, with an 18% boost on CPU and 28% boost to the GPU, as well as a stronger NPU for AI tasks.
Speaking of AI, Samsung’s Galaxy AI suite is still in play on these new tablets, with the keyboard cover even adding a new “AI Key” for written prompts with Bixby or Gemini. You’ll also find some new smart home features in the software such as “3D Map View” which can help you control SmartThings gear.
