When Google released the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, it was a welcome design departure from the original Pixel Fold, earning a 4/5 stars in our review. Now, as we look to Google’s next-gen foldable, it appears that redesign is here to stay, with leaks showing a Pixel 10 Pro Fold that’s nearly identical to 9 Pro Fold.

In renders shared by Android Headlines, the only noticeable difference between the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is a slimmer bezel on the left side of the front screen and an additional speaker grill on the bottom of the phone.

The triple camera setup from the Pixel 9 Fold makes its way to the Pixel 10 Fold, although we don’t have exact specs. Per Android Headlines, the dimensions should be the same, as should the improved hinge design and IPX8 rating.

This may not be a bad thing. Last year, we noted that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold was a serious improvement over the original Pixel Fold in both fit and finish, making the 2024 model much more competitive. Thus, it stands to reason that the 10 Fold Pro will be mostly a bump in specs.

The phone is slated to get Google’s upcoming Tensor 5 chip, which should improve performance and battery, although not by very much. If the bezel is smaller on the new phone, the front screen will also be slightly larger, and the front design will look more symmetrical.

Google is expected to announce the Pixel 10 lineup in August at the Made by Google event alongside. Rumors for those devices show that the designs will also be mostly unchanged from prior years, with the possible exception of a third camera being added to the Pixel 10. Every phone in the lineup is also rumored to get some new AI camera features as well.

Joe Hindy

Hello, my name is Joe and I am a tech blogger. My first real experience with tech came at the tender age of 6 when I started playing Final Fantasy IV (II on the SNES) on the family’s living room console. As a teenager, I cobbled together my first PC build using old parts from several ancient PCs, and really started getting into things in my 20s. I served in the US Army as a broadcast journalist. Afterward, I served as a news writer for XDA-Developers before I spent 11 years as an Editor, and eventually Senior Editor, of Android Authority. I specialize in gaming, mobile tech, and PC hardware, but I enjoy pretty much anything that has electricity running through it.
