Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra has again popped up in the online performance benchmark Geekbench. But after its last appearance in August, Samsung’s next flagship appears to have put on some muscle.
The new Galaxy S25 Ultra Geekbench entry, uploaded today, reveals higher CPU frequencies for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip across the board. All CPU cores operate at a higher performance level than before.
More specifically, this new Galaxy S5 Ultra Geekbench test reveals a base frequency of 3.53GHz for six CPU cores, up from 2.78GHz, and a frequency of a whopping 4.47GHz for the dual-core cluster, up from 4.09GHz.
Higher performance figures for the next Galaxy wonder
As you might expect, this new performance test for the Galaxy S25 Ultra and its Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 posted higher Geekbench scores.
Even though synthetic benchmarks might not be the most accurate way to assess the real-world performance of a device, these new scores give us an idea of what the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s higher CPU frequencies yield compared to the previous Geekbench entry.
So, according to this new benchmark, the Galaxy S25 Ultra tops 3,011 points in the single-core test and 9,706 points in the multi-core test. Previously, the phone scored 2,884 and 8,840 points in single and multi-core tests, respectively.
Another interesting comparison is between this new Galaxy S25 Ultra benchmark and the recent tests performed on the latest iPhone 16 Pro Max (via Tom’s Guide). The latter tops around 3,400 and 8,300 points in the single and multi-core performance benchmarks. As usual, the iPhone posts stronger single-core but weaker multi-core performance than its Android rival(s).
