The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 just gained new kids-friendly features, potentially eliminating the need for a separate phone for your kid. The Korean manufacturer introduced the Galaxy Watch for Kids feature, enabling parents to configure the device directly from their smartphones.
The experience is available only on Galaxy Watch7 LTE and only in countries where the carrier offers eSIM packages.
The parent can choose the “set up for a child” option and then just follow the directions on how to activate the device. Once ready, the feature allows you to monitor where the kid is, control calls and texts with the kid, and set school hours for no interruptions.
Kids will find a selection of “Teacher Approved” apps by Samsung. It seems like Samsung collaborated with their Marketing team, as the list features apps from Barbie, Crayola, Marvel, PBS Kids, and more.
