Samsung’s Android 15 release, One UI 7, isn’t officially releasing until next year, but the company is apparently gearing up to launch a beta program in November.
The One UI 7 beta was expected to launch as early as July, but ended up being heavily delayed. In October, Samsung confirmed plans to launch a beta program “by the end of this year” without providing any further details. But, now, one source is giving some further insight.
Ice Universe says on Twitter/X that the One UI 7 beta program with Samsung’s Android 15 upgrade is “another half month” away, which likely translates to a mid-November launch.
An added bit of evidence for that timing is the date of Samsung’s other developer conference in Korea, which kicks off on November 21. Samsung initially announced some details about the update at SDC in the US last month, so it’d be fitting to get the full unveiling at the same event in Korea, but only time will tell on that front.
Beyond that, beta pages have appeared on Samsung’s website for Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24, suggesting that both series will be supported fairly quickly. Samsung will also likely support recent Galaxy foldables in the beta program, but the Galaxy S24 series will probably be first in line.
Samsung’s One UI 7 update is expected to bring major redesigns and more, but only a few new features as leaks have revealed.
