Samsung has seriously been raising the bar for OLED TVs over the past few years. Last year’s S95D brought some major innovations and made it abundantly clear that Samsung is going to dominate this segment of the TV market as well.
The Samsung S95F is its flagship OLED TV for 2025, and what many would be interested in finding out is whether it does bring meaningful improvements over last year’s model or does it just offer more of the same? That’s what we’ll discuss, with a lot more, in this Samsung S95F OLED TV review.

Buyer Beware
The S95F is primarily perceived as a QD-OLED TV as that’s the panel the majority of its sizes are available in across the globe However, it’s pertinent to note that the 83-inch of the S95F uses a WOLED panel instead of QD-OLED. Samsung doesn’t have an 83-inch QD-OLED panel so models of this size have to make their peace with WOLED.
The differences between these two technologies, however minimal, won’t really be noticeable to the untrained eye. Some obvious advantages of QD-OLED is that these panels get insanely bright, and that’s why the S95F is honestly one of the brightest OLED TVs that Samsung has ever made.
Setting Up Your New TV

Setting up the S95F is fairly simple, whether you’re using the provided the stand to mounting it on the wall. Given its thin profile, it’s going to look spectacular mounted on a wall, and that’s likely to be the preferred setting for most customers.
A big reason for that is Samsung’s One Connect Box. It’s a separate breakout box that has all of the TV’s HDMI ports and other inputs. The box itself connects to the TV through a single cable that transmits both power and data, allowing you to have a clutter free entertainment setup.
Design

The S95F has a design worthy of its flagship status. It’s sleek and modern with very slim bezels that ensure your focus remains firmly on the content. Despite its slim profile, it is a hair thicker than some of Samsung’s other models, but that’s because the S95F has multiple speakers at the back. This helps provide a better sound quality, particularly compared to its predecessor, the S95D.
The best design feature of the Samsung S95F OLED TV is arguably the anti-glare coating. It was on last year’s model as well but Samsung has improved it even more, addressing many of the complaints that customers had. The screen maintains that perfect black look that loved universally, and it doesn’t suffer from a lot of the light scattering issues that the outgoing model did.
Picture Quality

To say that the picture quality on the Samsung S95F is great would be an understatement. It’s the best that Samsung has to offer, and we would go so far as to say that it’s probably one of the best that you can find on the market. The S95F has Samsung’s newest generation QD-OLED panels, and it’s a magnificent display technology.
It provides the best colors that you can get on an OLED TV with top-tier brightness and magnificent contrast. The picture is thus near-perfect with minimal flaws. Samsung has also improved the picture clarity considerably, aided by higher peak brightness that hits 2,400nits or even more in some scenes. The panel gets brighter than most LCDs in many cases, and that’s a testament to its brilliance.

The anti-glare coating helps with elevating the picture quality as well. Glossy panels on a TV create a mirror-like reflection which impacts the viewing experience if there are bright ambient lights reflecting off the surface. The light’s impact is dimmed on the S95F’s glare free coating and only negligible splatter is visible when there’s a bright ambient light hitting the panel directly.
Gamers are going to love this TV as well. The S95F objectively provides one of the best gaming experiences, even standard definition games look better than they ever have, courtesy of this QD-OLED panel. That’s what separates the level of the gaming experience that it offers from every other TV on the market.
Samsung’s Game Motion+ allows for gaming in 60fps, and even 30fps games benefit from it as the technology makes them appear as smooth as 60fps titles. Those who have a capable PC can even play games at up to 165Hz refresh rate, so it’s safe to say that gamers will love to buy the Samsung S95F as it gets the core functionality right.
Software

Samsung ships the S95F with the latest version of its Tizen platform for smart TVs. There’s endless content options to discover, from all of your favorite streaming apps to Samsung’s own free TV streaming app called Samsung TV Plus. The user interface has been spruced up and despite appearing to be packed to the gill with content options, it feels more nimble than before.
You can choose between the Bixby and Alexa voice assistants as both are available on the TV. Other hands features include the Daily Board which can offer helpful information or display artwork. SmartThings integration allows you to control the connected devices that you may have in your home.
Gamers are going to love Samsung’s Gaming Hub as it allows for console-free game streaming from the likes of Xbox and GeForce Now. The AI Auto Game Mode is an added plus as it automatically adjusts the picture settings to best suit the game being played.

The company has made the much needed change of reducing the size of the settings menus which now appear as floating windows, allowing users to better see the impact of the changes being made, which would previously get obscured by the rather large windows.

Gamers would appreciate support for FreeSync Premium Pro and Auto Low Latency Mode. Samsung allows for personalization of the Game Bar UI so that gamers can have instant access to their preferred features. Lastly, Game Mode is also present to help minimize input lag.
Performance and AI
The S95F boasts Samsung’s most advanced 4K AI processor yet, the NQ4 AI Gen 3, which is backed by 128 neural networks to deliver exceptional upscaling to 4K resolution, even if the source content is in standard definition. It’s hard to not be seriously impressed by this capability once you see it in action because not only does it upscale perfectly, it does that while making it almost imperceptible that the content was upscaled in the first place.
Samsung has bundled all of the AI features on the S95F under the Vision AI umbrella. There’s even a dedicated button on the remote that brings up the ability to find context about the content being viewed, using Click to Search for looking up things on the screen, and using the live translation feature to create subtitles in your preferred language.

AI picture modes are also available on this TV. We found the it tends to push towards a cooler color temperature, so whether you like it or not really depends on your preference. It does add a bit more sharpness to the content and lifts up the brightness, but that results in a more artificial look, so it’s not going to be for everyone.
As we’ve come to expect by now, there’s no support for Dolby Vision as Samsung prefers HDR10 and HDR10+ Adaptive instead. The 70W 4.2.2 channel integrated speakers provide clear dialogue with high quality audio. Dolby Atmos is supported and you also get Object Tracking Sound+ for a more dynamic sound stage.
The audio experience is pretty decent and the TV also supports Q Symphony, so you can elevate it much further with a Samsung soundbar.
Verdict

The S95F is undoubtedly the best Samsung OLED TV for a number of reasons. The picture quality is second to none, the brightness is remarkable, and the glare-free coating does wonders for the viewing experience. The AI features are on point, and they don’t feel like Samsung added them just for the sake of slapping the AI label on this TV. AI upscaling works very well and with a plethora of features aimed at gamers, even the most serious of gamers are going to have a good time with the S95F.
So when you buy the S95F, the only real decision is what size to get. Samsung offers the S95F in 55, 65, 77, and 83-inch sizes with prices starting at $2,299. It’s worth pointing out that the newer model has a lower starting price than last year’s model, as the S95D was available from $2,599 when it first launched.
