Samsung improved the camera experience of its latest Galaxy S25 flagship phones through advanced software additions and a redesigned Camera app and UI.
Surprisingly, Samsung tried to level the playing field more this year, which resulted in one of the new and most advanced Galaxy S25 Ultra video recording tools also being available for the base Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25+.
We’re referring to LOG video recording capabilities. LOG (Logarithmic Footage) is a video recording mode highly preferred by professional video creators and editors.
More details after our Galaxy S25 hands-on video
Videos recorded using LOG mode have a flatter, almost grayscale color profile. They don’t look great by default, but the catch is that they contain more details.
As such, LOG videos offer more flexibility for video editors to color-correct their recordings as they like using video-editing software or, in this case, Samsung’s Gallery app.
This means even Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ users will have better video-recording tools should they want to dive deeper into more advanced video editing.
Video recording fans may have other reasons to pick the Galaxy S25 Ultra over the other two models — such as the superior camera hardware with better optical zoom. However, you won’t have to spend extra if all you want is LOG recording capabilities. Thankfully, this pro-grade feature is available across the entire S25 series.

Galaxy S25 Ultra dimensions are a paradox
Samsung’s new Galaxy S25 Ultra flagship phone has a fresh look. Oddly enough, Samsung’s official spec sheet, revealed […]

Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ hands-on: Exceptionalism amid similarity
