Heating up CES 2022, LG debuts laundry room innovations that have your washer and dryer working for you.

The LG FX washer and dryer utilizes AI technology to customize your loads and takes thought out of laundry day. As you load in your clothes, the washer analyzes the size of your load, fabric type, and soil level to then dispense the correct amount of detergent and adjust the wash settings. When the wash cycle is done, the LG FX washer delivers the information it gathers and sends it over to the dryer so that the dryer can pre-heat and prepare for the cycle—saving both time and forethought.

Beyond the stunning AI technology, the LG FX offers practical solutions for better living. Consumers can download upgrades onto the machine so you can have the latest technology without purchasing a whole new appliance. One example is the Relief Care setting, which tosses washed clothes to prevent them from getting musty before you have time to transition them into the dryer.

For families with pets, there’s a software upgrade, too, but you also have to purchase hardware in the form of a special pet filter. This setting works to remove up to 99% of pet-produced allergens from your laundry. To keep your machine ultra-clean, there’s an autoclean cycle so that you can maintain the freshness of your appliances between loads.

The LG FX series is expected to hit the market in September 2022. The FX Washer and Electric Dryer will be priced at $1,599 each while the FX Gas Dryer will be $1,699.
