Here’s When the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE5 Will Arrive – Talk Android

OnePlus began its foray into the smartphone market with its flagship-killing numbered series of smartphones. Over 10 years later, the company has gone from the OnePlus One all the way to the OnePlus 13 (with the OnePlus 14 due later this year). In between those mainline launches, the OEM introduced its midrange Nord phones.

The OnePlus Nord devices haven’t done badly for themselves either, with last year bringing the Nord 4. That device had a metal unibody, something we haven’t seen with smartphones in a while. This year, we expect to see the Nord 5, as well as the Nord CE5. Now, it seems like both devices will launch on the same day, and we have a hint of when.

The OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE5 Will Likely Both Launch on the Same Day in Early July

The OnePlus Nord devices are great options for people who love OnePlus devices (and especially that software) but, for one reason or another, aren’t ready to pay flagship prices to get the very best that the company has to offer. The Nord phones, whether in the main numbered series or the more value-focused CE line, are solid midrange options for most people.

This year, we expect to see the OnePlus Nord 5 and the Nord CE5, and while we had no idea of when to expect them before, over on X, Yogesh Brar, a notable tipster, has given us a little insight into when to expect them.

The answer is next month, but early next month, so there’s likely less than a month to wait before the phones will be made official. A deleted tweet from the tipster initially stated a date of July 8th, but now, the tweet that has taken its place simply indicates that the phone will be coming in “early July”. That might be because the original date was wrong, or perhaps it was too much information to leak at this point.

The OnePlus Nord 5 Is Slated for a Massive Battery

The OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to be a very solid midrange device, and considering the chipset that it is rumored to be bringing to the scene, it possesses the flagship-killing DNA that brought OnePlus to life in the first place. The table below gives an idea of the specs that the Nord 5 is expected to come with, based on earlier leaks.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9400e might read like a heavily binned version of the flagship Dimensity 9400, but while it is less powerful, the difference isn’t massive. The chip still scores around 2.2M in AnTuTu, which beats the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. As far as I’m concerned, that’s a flagship-grade chip and much better than the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 in the Nord 4.

The OnePlus Nord CE5 Will Be a Lot More Value-Focused

The OnePlus Nord 5 will likely save you quite a bit of money compared to the OnePlus 13. If you want to save even more money than the Nord 5, then the Nord CE5 is the way to go.

This device focuses more on value, though it is hardly a “budget” device on the spec sheet. You will get the following specs:

Somehow, the battery gets even bigger. With a weaker chip, it should last even longer than the Nord 5. Plus, with 80W wired charging, you won’t have to wait a ridiculous amount of time plugged in to charge this big cell.
