This year’s IFA in Berlin is quite busy for Honor, bringing a slew of new devices to global markets, including the MagicBook Art 14 included. But in addition to the Intel-powered version, the company also announced a the MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon PC.
This model is now making its official debut, not being released in China first, and by the looks of it retains much of the same hardware but with the Snapdragon X Elite inside. This will potentially enable better energy efficiency, longer battery life and more on-board AI features.
The device still uses a 14.6-inch OLED touchscreen with 3120 x 2080px resolution and weighs just 1kg, measuring 1cm in thickness. It’s the same powerful and lightweight package and Honor calls it “the lightest AI PC on the market”.
Honor leverages the Snapdragon X Elite’s AI capabilities to optimize certain background processes to improve performance and power draw. The top 14 most used applications on Windows get under-the-hood optimizations based on your usage habits.
The device also comes with Honor’s AI Agent, which helps with everyday tasks and can even identify apps with unwanted subscriptions and cancel them for you. This AI agent will make its way to the Magic7 series as well. Another AI tool will help you identify deepfakes,
Honor is also making efforts to bring your devices closer together in a more seamless ecosystem experience with the so-called MagicRing. It lets you use peripherals and apps across different platforms by connecting your phone, tablet and PC (in this case, the MagicBook 14 Art Snapdragon). You can also receive messages, calls, files and share your screen from device to the other.
Honor doesn’t disclose its plans on when it will release the MagicBook 14 Art Snapdragon nor its price just yet. We hope we get those details soon though.
