Honor has partnered with TIME magazine for a fashion-forward keynote at this year’s IFA. The presentation will explore “the convergence of technology, fashion, sustainability and lifestyle” and will be lead by a panel of fashion icons.

The speakers include Giles Deacon (Couture Designer at Giles Deacon Group), Bram Van Diepen (Design Director, BURBERRY Menswear) and Anne-Marie Tomchak (journalist, broadcaster and former Vogue Editor). The will be joined by Lola Ogunnaike, a Time Brand Editor.

What’s this all about? Well, based on a teaser for Honor’s IFA keynote we expect to see two new foldables. One of them might be the Honor Magic V2 – the company told us that it is expediting the European launch. Other possibilities include a slim and/or lite models and even a Magic Vs 2.

There is another possibility too. Honor did mention that it is considering making a flip foldable, but it wanted it to be special.

There is a divide in the foldable world – horizontal foldables are advertised based on productivity, flip foldables are advertised based on fashion. So, it’s not all that strange to be inviting fashion experts to a tech launch. However, this might only be a concept device rather than a retail-ready product.

Unfortunately for us impatient types, the company has managed to keep its plans secret, so you will have to join us tomorrow and we can find out Honor’s plans for the future together.
