The alleged Huawei Mate 70 Pro has been spotted prior to launch. This is a real-life image we’re talking about, and the device has three display camera holes, just like the Mate 60 Pro.
You can see the aforementioned image below. You’ll notice that the display camera holes on the phone are centered up top. The device seems to have a flat display, while its power/lock and volume up and down buttons sit on the right-hand side.
The Huawei Mate 70 series will launch later this month. The Huawei Mate 70 Pro and Mate 70 Pro+ are actually rumored to look the same, so this leak basically gives us a look at both devices.
Unfortunately, though, the phone is placed inside a case, so we don’t get to see as many details as we would have liked. On top of that, the quality of the image is not the best, and we don’t get to see the phone’s back side. What we do see is its frame, which seems to be flat.
It will offer 3D face scanning
In case you’re wondering why are there three cutouts on the front. Well, one is for the front camera, while the other two are for the 3D ToF system. Yes, this phone will support advanced facial scanning.
Many would probably say that this is the Huawei Mate 60 Pro, and not the new model. Well, it’s not, that frame is a dead giveaway. The Huawei Mate 60 Pro has a rounded frame, and the same goes for the Mate 60 Pro+.
The Huawei Mate 70 series is tipped to utilize the Kirin 9100 processor. That is allegedly Huawei’s 6nm processor, even though a 5nm processor was tipped a number of times thus far.
These will be the first smartphones that will launch with Huawei’s brand new HarmonyOS NEXT operating system, which is Android-free. That OS will be used in China for sure, while we’re not sure about global markets just yet.
