Infinix recently launched the Hot 50 5G with a 7.8 mm thin body, but we could see an even thinner device soon. According to hands-on images at Passionategeekz.com, the phone could be 6 mm thin and have 2.5D curved sides.
If the information is true, this will be the thinnest non-foldable smartphone since the Tecno Camon 11 series, introduced back in 2018.
The unnamed Infinix device is placed next to an iPhone, where we can definitely see how incredibly thin it is, even if the photo is not the best quality or size.
Devices on the smartphone market are expected to get thinner, at least in the base, after companies started adopting new Silion-Carbide battery cells. The new solution offers high mAh capacity but sacrifices ultra-fast charging, which is apparently less attractive to users than makers had hoped.
