One of the best things about owning a smartwatch is the vast array of watch faces that are available to fine-tune the device to your personal taste. On top of the default package of watch faces included in its range of TicWatch wearables, Mobvoi has just launched a new website that graphic designers and digital creators can use to curate their watch faces, as well as the new TimeShow app where end users can download the designs to their Wear OS smartwatches.
The website is called TimeShowCool.com and Mobvoi says it will soon be integrating a revenue-sharing plan so that designers can sell their creations.
“A watch is like an extension of your personality and, in a digital world, a watch face serves the same purpose, whether it’s through fun games, useful applications, or simply an attractive design,” said Robert Zhang, vice president of engineering at Mobvoi. “It was important for us that TicWatch and all smartwatch users are able to express themselves the way they want to, and for creators, to provide a platform to showcase their abilities and earn from their incredible work.”
Accompanying the website is the TimeShow app which is available to download on both the Play Store and Apple App Store, allowing Android users to sync with a Wear OS watch and iPhone users to sync with an Apple Watch.
New watch faces will be released on a weekly basis on the TimeShow app with options ranging from interactive games like “Little Ball Adventure” and “Gluttony Snake” to customizable widgets, fonts, and effects. There will also be health and fitness-focused watch faces that show real-time health data such as steps and heart rate.
You can download the TimeShow app to your Android or iOS smartphone via the links below:
