TL;DR

  • Nothing could soon enter a new product category with its first speaker.
  • A render of the alleged device has leaked, showing a peculiar design.

Nothing is currently teasing a new product launch. While all signs point at the Nothing Ear 2 buds, we might see another surprise entry from the company: a new speaker.

Renders of a strange-looking, boxy speaker have leaked thanks to 91Mobiles and tipster/code hunter Kuba Wojciechowski. The device doesn’t resemble any speaker we’ve ever seen. The render shows a full view of what look like the speaker cutouts — two round black ones on top that are possibly tweeters and two mismatched white ones at the bottom that could be sub-woofers.

There are buttons on either side of the alleged Nothing speaker, likely for volume controls, Bluetooth connectivity, etc. One of the buttons on the left is red, possibly the power button. Meanwhile, there’s a weird orb on the front with half a Nothing logo on it.

The design of the Nothing speaker doesn’t seem all that transparent like other Nothing products we’ve seen so far. Although, we could be wrong. There is some sort of covering on top of the device, which could be packaging or a see-through housing.

The leaked render isn’t of the best quality and seems to be missing some visual information. We also only get one image of the alleged Nothing speaker. Moreover, we don’t even know the correct marketing name of the device right now. But if the company plans to announce it later this month, we wouldn’t have to wait much longer to find out.
