The Oppo Find X8 series launched in China last week and will go global later this month. We will be reviewing both current models – the X8 and X8 Pro – and we can start with a peek at what the Hasselblad cameras can do. Just a peek, though, we will leave image quality discussions for the review.
Here we will share photos from the vanilla Oppo Find X8, which has three 50MP modules on its back. The main camera has a 24mm lens with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The sensor can do native 2x zoom, which we will also be testing out.
Here are some photos from the main camera:

The telephoto camera uses a 73mm 1G3P lens with OIS (f/2.6 aperture). It offers 3x optical zoom but also has a 6x mode. This camera is interesting because of its dual prism design – incoming light is bent 180° before it reaches the sensor.
Starting with the optical zoom, we have this:
The high resolution sensor allows the phone to go further, here are some 6x zoom photos:

The ultra wide camera has a 15mm lens with autofocus (it has a 120° field of view).
There are features we haven’t tested yet. For example, 6x zoom is just the start – an AI super-resolution algorithm can push things up to 120x zoom. Other clever AI tricks can remove pesky reflections from glass that might otherwise spoil your photo. Oppo also touts the quality of the Hasselblad portrait mode.
Stay tuned for more on the Oppo Find X8 – not just its cameras, we will explore everything about this phone.
