Oppo launched the Find X6 Pro earlier this year, and the phone remains officially sold by the company only in China. However, the device can easily be purchased through third-party retailers, and people that have done so have a reason for celebration.

The Find X6 Pro units started receiving a software update that brings major camera improvements, as well as some communication fixes and the latest system security package.

After the installation, the Find X6 Pro units will take better photos with the telephoto camera, while portrait images will have an improved skin tone. When using the Portrait mode, you will also have a 2x zoom toggle for the back cam, and the same toggle will be applied to video, time-lapse, and text-scanner modes.

When we reviewed the Oppo flagship, we established its photos in low-light environments were some of the best for a smartphone in 2023. The update promises to further improve quality.

The update will also reduce camera power consumption, and it will increase the quality of videos taken with a high zoom ratio.

The user experience is improved in the Multi-Screen Connect, Screencast, and some third-party apps, and Oppo also added Hasselblad’s iconic orange shutter button in the Camera app. Connectivity stability is improved, and compatibility of NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks is expanded.
