Sony announced the Pulse Explore earlier this year, but didn’t reveal a launch date, until now. Preorders for the $199.99 wireless earbuds begin Nov. 9 ahead of a Dec. 6 launch.
The earbuds will first go on sale in the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand via direct.playstation.com and other retailers.
The Pulse Explore earbuds were announced alongside the $149.99 Pulse Elite headset, which will also be available for preorder on Nov. 9, but don’t ship until Feb. 21, 2024. Both devices come with a PlayStation Link USB Adapter, which will also be available to buy separately on Dec. 6.

All three devices will work with the PlayStation Portal, its handheld streaming device for the PS5, which also costs $199.99 and launches on Nov. 15.
The Pulse Explore are Sony’s first set of wireless earbuds. They feature “dual microphones with AI-enhanced noise rejection capable of filtering background sounds,” plus lossless audio and a white and black charging case with a light strip along the bottom.

Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore can simultaneously connect to a PlayStation Link supported device—which includes PS5, PC, Mac, or PlayStation Portal—and a Bluetooth supported device. That means users can pair it with their smartphones while also having it connected to PlayStation Link. So it’ll be possible to answer a phone call with the same earbuds you’re using to game.
