New device reveals are always exciting, especially when a brand like Realme brings something fresh to the table. The Chinese smartphone company officially extended an invitation to their online event, where they showed us their latest AI strategy and introduced the Realme GT 7 Pro flagship.
The event happened today, October 25th, at 12:30 PM Beijing Time, or 10 AM Indian Standard Time (IST). If you missed it, you can still watch the highlights on Realme’s official YouTube channels.
Realme GT 7 Pro brings speed and advanced AI
The Realme GT 7 Pro is built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with a 3-nanometer chip and a clock speed surpassing 4GHz. Originally called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the processor introduces the Oryon CPU architecture and promises PC-level performance. The phone itself is expected to come with a 6,000mAh battery and 120W fast charging, among other remarkable features.
For the cameras, it’s rumored to include a 3x periscope telephoto lens, and other high-quality lenses. Alongside the phone launch, we’ll get to see the Dark Horse of AI, which is realme’s new project to bring advanced AI features to its devices.
Working with Qualcomm and Google, Realme is adding special tools to the GT 7 Pro, including AI Sketch to Image that turns sketches into images and AI Motion Deblur that makes blurry photos clearer. These features come from Realme’s NEXT AI Lab and aims to help young people use artificial intelligence for creative ideas.
Realme GT7 Pro protects your eyes with natural light
Battery and AI are not the only places where the Realme GT7 Pro excels. Realme has also designed the display to go easy on your vision. It uses a 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display that’s clear and fluid, with the brightness peaking at 2,000 nits for the global version. The local version may hit 6,000 nits. In addition, President of Realme China, Xu QiChase, talks about a new “non-polarized natural light” technology on the screen.
Most screens today use polarizers, which are optical filters that control how light moves through them. Polarizers filter light so that it moves in one direction. They block other light directions to improve screen brightness and contrast, thus creating sharper images.
With a regular screen that uses polarizers, you’ll experience glare and the screen’s directional light strains your eyes over time. The Realme GT7 Pro’s Eco Sky Screen, however, skips these polarizers, so that its light mimics natural sunlight and spreads evenly without intense glare.
The company calls the technology Eco Sky Screen, which works in combination with DC dimming and AI-based eye protection that adjusts the display for different environments. DC dimming is another technology that adjusts a phone’s power levels to change screen brightness. It reduces flicker, making the screen easier on the eyes, especially in low light.
Realme sees its latest innovation as the next level of eye protection, and they’re hosting a press conference on November 4 to officially unveil the GT7 Pro and share more details about their technology.
