OPPO’s official has just revealed some of the OPPO Find X8 specs. The information comes from Zhou Yibao, the head of the OPPO Find series. Let’s see what he had to say.
Zhou said that the OPPO Find X8 will feature a flat screen with narrow bezels. He also confirmed that those bezels will be uniform, as was suggested by a previous report. A metal frame has also been confirmed.
He also said that the OPPO Find X8 will be noticeably thinner and lighter compared to its predecessor. He did not say the exact measurements, but he did say that the thickness will be around 7mm. The phone will also weigh less than 200 grams.
A periscope camera will be included, and the phone will be water & dust resistant
The camera bump on the back is also confirmed to be smaller than on the Find X7. A periscope telephoto camera will be a part of the package, and the phone will be water and dust resistant. IP68/IP69 rating will be a part of the package.
What else? Well, Zhou Yibao confirmed that 50W wireless charging will be on offer too, and the same goes for reverse wireless charging capabilities. The Find X8 will also offer MagSafe-like magnetic charging support.
An IR blaster will be a part of the package, as will an alert slider
That’s not all, though, he had more to say. An IR blaster will be placed up top, while smart NFC has been confirmed too. The OPPO Find X8 will also retain a three-stage alert slider on the side.
The company’s official did say that the OPPO Find X8 Pro details are coming soon, after the China National Day, which is today. So we should get more information in the coming days.
The OPPO Find X8 series is coming at some point this month. October 21 is rumored, but not yet confirmed. The phones will first launch in China, while a global launch will follow.
