The OnePlus 13 is the next device that is expected to launch on the Chinese manufacturer’s schedule and it looks set to come out in its home country next month, which is certainly sooner than any of us expected. That should mean that an international launch might come before the end of the year, unlike January like with the OnePlus 12 this year.

The latest rumor regarding the smartphone, coming from the extremely reliable source that is Digital Chat Station on Weibo, is that the device is going to have 24GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM. If that turns out true, it’s certainly going to set OnePlus’ upcoming device apart from all the rest. For reference, you’ll usually only find that much RAM on gaming smartphones. The poster child of Android flagships, the S24 Ultra, has only 12GB.

From the same post made on Weibo, it seems like the device’s top storage configuration is also going to come with a price increase, which isn’t surprising as the top configuration is likely to be the one getting 24GB of RAM — I’d be extremely surprised if 24GB of RAM will be a perk observed across the entire lineup.

Other Rumored Specs Point To A Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 And A 6,000+ mAh Battery

As wild as it is to see a OnePlus device that will come with 24GB of RAM, it’s not that surprising if you’ve been keeping track of the other specs rumored for the upcoming flagship. Unsurprisingly, it’ll come with the power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which is expected to take center stage next month.

However, that’s not the only high-end thing that OnePlus is planning to stuff into its new flagship. It’s been rumored that it’ll come with a battery that pushes over the 6,000 mAh threshold, though the exact capacity hasn’t been made clear. For a flagship phone, that’s a massive battery to have. It may also mark the return of wireless charging and it seems that it will also come with an impressive IP69 rating for water resistance.

With all these drastic changes, it is only right that the device comes with a facelift to differentiate it from the weaklings that came before it. OnePlus is cooking up something intense and we can’t wait to see it in full.
