The OnePlus 13 is one of the best smartphones of 2025 so far. So when we heard that OnePlus was making a compact version of the device, we were naturally quite excited.
Weeks later, it came to life in the form of the OnePlus 13T, but much to our disappointment, it was exclusive to China. Thankfully, OnePlus has now confirmed that it will be making its way to more markets — but don’t get too excited just yet.

OnePlus took to X to announce that the same device would be making its way to India, now called the OnePlus 13s. This is the first time OnePlus will be launching an “s” variant of a device. In an accompanying forum post, a product manager added, “This moment means more to us than just launching a new product; it’s the start of a new chapter for OnePlus”, which could be an indication that the OnePlus 13s is not a one-off.
In India, the OnePlus 13s will be available in Black Velvet and Pink Satin colors. Features and specifications seem similar to the Chinese OnePlus 13T. The most notable of which is a 6.32-inch screen, making it one of the smallest devices currently available with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It’s an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2640 x 1216 resolution, and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
Perhaps the most interesting OnePlus 13s feature is the inclusion of a 6,260 mAh battery — significantly bigger than that of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, or the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max. Support for 80W fast charging will also be included.
The OnePlus 13s will come with a dual-50MP camera setup, an optically stabilized primary sensor and a 2x telephoto lens. And while the device is only 8.2mm thick and weighs 185g, it also gets IP65 dust and water resistance.
In a statement to The Verge, OnePlus said that it has no plans to bring the OnePlus 13s to the US or Europe. However, if you really like the idea of this compact flagship, importing it from India would give you a device that not only has Google Play Services but is also compatible with most networks.
In China, the base OnePlus 13T (12GB + 256GB) starts at CNY 3,399, which is about $450. Even though it may be subject to some tariffs, the OnePlus 13s’s price in India is likely to be competitive — potentially under INR 50,000. The final launch date has not been announced yet, but it shouldn’t be more than a few weeks away now.
