TL;DR

  • Images of Tecno’s Phantom V Fold phone have leaked online.
  • The phone has a triple camera setup.
  • Rumor says the phone may launch globally on February 28.

From Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold to Oppo’s Find N line, the foldable market is getting quite crowded these days. And it looks like the foldable market is about the see the emergence of another handset soon. The phone in question could be from the Chinese phone manufacturer Tecno Mobile.

Images of a new foldable have leaked online and were discovered by MySmartPrice. According to the outlet, the phone in the pictures may be the Phantom V Fold. This comes on the heels of the company unveiling its Phantom Vision V concept — a device with a rollable sliding screen.

Something interesting about this book-like foldable is its ability to shut completely flat. This is a feat that Samsung’s own foldables can’t do as Samsung continues to innovate on its hinge technology.

Additionally, it looks like the Phantom V Fold has a display cover with a punch hole camera. It also features a three-camera setup on the back of the device. Unfortunately, there were no images of the main screen, so we have no idea how bad the crease may be.

It’s difficult to discern anything else on the handset due to the fact that it’s covered by a black case that’s hiding much of the design. However, it appears that the layout of the camera sensors is similar to the Phantom Vision V.

According to leaker Paras Guglani, the Phantom V Fold could be coming sooner than later. Guglani claims Tecno is preparing to launch the device globally on February 28.

If this rumor is true, then it’s likely we’ll see more of this device very soon.
