Trump family debuts Trump Mobile, T1 ‘gold’ phone: All the details

The Trump family has announced Trump Mobile, a new mobile network, along with a flagship device dubbed the T1 Phone. The venture marks the family’s latest pivot into consumer tech, wrapped in patriotic marketing and a $47.45 monthly plan aptly named “The 47 Plan” — a nod to Donald Trump’s aspirations to be the 47th U.S. president.

The service, technically a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), runs on T-Mobile’s infrastructure through a partner called Liberty Mobile. In practice, it’s comparable to Mint Mobile or US Mobile, though at a higher price. The plan includes unlimited talk, text, and data, as well as extras like telehealth access and roadside assistance.

“Trump Mobile is going to revolutionize cellphones, mobile calling,” Eric Trump told Fox News.

T1 Phone: Specs and features

There’s the $499 T1 Phone, “Coming Soon” in gold with a stylised American flag and a T1 logo etched on the back. Specs include a 6.78-inch 120Hz OLED display, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage (expandable), a 5,000mAh battery, and a surprising inclusion — a 3.5mm headphone jack. Camera hardware looks far less polished: a lone 50MP sensor supported by 2MP macro and depth shooters, with no ultrawide or telephoto in sight. The promotional image appears to be a Photoshop composite, raising questions about how far along development actually is.

Despite claims that the T1 is “designed and built in the USA,” no manufacturing details have been confirmed. Preorders are open now with a $100 deposit, and shipping is supposedly planned for September.

The launch raises regulatory eyebrows too, as Trump Mobile enters an industry overseen by FCC Chair Brendan Carr — a Trump appointee. For now, the network may appeal less to tech buyers and more to political loyalists.
