Vivo actually managed to cram a 6,500mAh battery into an extremely thin smartphone. The device in question is the Vivo Y300 Pro, and it’s only 7.69mm thick. Many people would think this is an impossible feat, but there you go.
To make things even better, the Vivo Y300 Pro is actually a budget smartphone. No, this is not even a mid-range phone, but a budget one. It launched in China, and its price equivalent is around $253.
Having said that, despite the fact it’s a budget phone, it doesn’t look like one. Its specifications are also nothing to scoff at. If you take a look at the images below the article, you’ll see the phone’s design.
As you can see, its bezels are not thick at all, and it looks quite sleek all around. It has a nice-looking circular camera island on the back, which includes two cameras.
This is a budget phone with a quad-curved 120Hz AMOLED display
There is a 6.77-inch fullHD+ (2392 x 1080) quad curved AMOLED display included on the front. That panel supports HDR10+ content, and its peak brightness is technically at 5,000 nits. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC from Qualcomm fuels this smartphone. That’s a 4nm chip, and it’s backed by either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, depending on the model you choose. 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB UFS 2.2 flash storage models are on offer.
80W charging is on offer, and the phone is also water and dust resistant
A 6,500mAh battery is included, as already mentioned, and the phone supports 80W fast charging. Android 14 comes out of the box with Vivo’s OriginOS 14 on top of it.
A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s LYT-600 sensor, f/1.79 aperture) is included on the back, and the same goes for a 2-megapixel depth camera (f/2.4 aperture). A 32-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture) sits on the back.
The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner, and it is IP65 certified. Stereo speakers are included, while Bluetooth 5.1 is supported. There are also two nano SIM card slots on offer here.
The Vivo Y300 Pro measures 163.72 x 75 x 7.69mm, while it weighs 193.6 grams. The device comes in Black Jade, Gold, Titanium, and White colors. Its pricing starts at CNY1,799 ($253) in China and goes up to CNY2,499 ($352). This phone will likely stay exclusive to China.
