Apple’s $3,500 Vision Pro is only available in the US right now. But this could change soon, with the company purportedly preparing to launch the headset in nine new countries.

As a part of the AR headset’s international expansion, Vision Pro’s virtual keyboard will gain support for 12 new languages.

Vision Pro’s international launch might be on the horizon

Given its high price tag, limited use case, and supply issues, the Vision Pro is only available in the US since its early February launch. The complex buying process of the headset is also a reason behind its limited launch. Unlike other Apple devices, you must have an iPhone or iPad with Face ID to order the headset.

MacRumors reports Apple is working on adding support for the following languages to the Vision Pro’s virtual keyboard:

  • Cantonese, Traditional
  • Chinese, Simplified
  • English (Australia)
  • English (Canada)
  • English (Japan)
  • English (Singapore)
  • English (UK)
  • French (Canada)
  • French (France)
  • German (Germany)
  • Japanese
  • Korean

Based on the language support, it appears Apple will launch the AR/VR headset in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the UK. It might also release the headset in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Try the Vision Pro in-store first

When the Vision Pro launched, Apple noted it would bring the spatial headset to more countries later this year. This international expansion will allow more consumers and developers to use the headset. It will also help boost Vision Pro’s sales, especially in China.

Despite its steep price tag, Vision Pro preorders sold out fast in the US. However, there were reports that early customers returned the headset in droves within the return period. A similar scenario could occur in other markets where the Vision Pro launches.

Cult of Mac’s founder Leander Kahney noted in his Vision Pro review that the headset is a magical delight, but it has a long road ahead. Given the limited use case, you might consider getting an in-store demo of the headset when it debuts in your country instead of buying it right away.
