Samsung’s foldable phones aren’t cheap, but it seems that despite their somewhat hefty price tags, people are still rushing to buy the phones anyway. This is according to a report from Korean publication, the Yonhap News Agency, where it was revealed that both Samsung’s newest foldables, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5, have set a new record.

It turns out that over in South Korea alone, both phones have managed to rack up an impressive pre-order of over 1 million units. Prior to this, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 managed 970,000 units in terms of pre-orders, so it looks like the momentum in demand for the phones is still going strong.

Keep in mind that these are just the figures for South Korea, and that if we were to take into consideration the other markets, that number would be a lot higher.

That being said, if you are interested in either phone, Samsung is running a pre-order promotion for both the Flip 5 and Fold 5. We’re talking about free storage upgrades where if you buy the 256GB model, you’ll be bumped to the 512GB at no extra charge. There will also be enhanced trade-in values offered so you can get more money for your older phone, plus there will also be additional discounts for students.

So if you’re wondering what all the hype is about, then now might be a good time to check out these deals if you’re hoping to save a bit of money.
