Honor 200 hits the global market in June as Android 14 rollout widens

After being teased in China recently, Honor has announced that the Honor 200 series will launch globally during an event in Paris in June.

At VivaTech 2024 in Paris this week, Honor announced that the Honor 200 series will launch globally on June 12. The company will host its own event in Paris on that date for the more affordable device.

The Honor 200 series was first teased in China earlier this month and is set to be fully unveiled on May 27 in the country.

Honor explains:

The HONOR 200 Series is set to launch in Paris on June 12, powered by the MagicOS 8.0,
further solidifying HONOR’s commitment to democratizing AI technology.

Beyond that, Honor also confirmed that its Android 14 update, MagicOS 8.0, is on its way to the foldable Magic V2 and the Honor 90 with AI features in tow.

At the event, Honor detailed its “4-layer AI architecture” which includes cross-device and “cross-OS” AI, platform-level AI, app-level AI, and cloud-level AI. To power its cloud AI services, Honor announced a partnership with Google Cloud with the promise to “integrate cutting-edge Gen-AI
experiences… into its upcoming smartphones.”
