Aside from its usual bang-for-your-buck phones, Xiaomi is also probably most known for launching a ton of different variations of the same smartphone, under different branding and model names, most of the time with few modifications. With that in mind, Xiaomi’s Redmi brand recently announced the Redmi Note 13R, a new addition to the Redmi Note 13 series.

In terms of hardware specifications, the phone comes with a 6.79-inch LCD display with a 2460 x 1080 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, encased in a polycarbonate chassis. The phone resembles a lot of recent Redmi devices, especially with the flat sides and camera module styling on the rear panel.

Speaking of the camera, the phone comes with a 50 MP, f/1.8 primary camera, a 2 MP, f/2.4 macro lens, and an 8MP selfie camera. Given the phone’s budget designation; video recording maxes out at 1080p resolution at 30fps. Powering the entire setup is a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging support.

For performance, there’s a rather modest Snapdragon 4+ Gen 1 chip inside, aided by up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which are probably among the standout highlights of this phone. The Redmi Note 13R ships with Android 14 onboard as well. In terms of pricing, the phone will be sold at around 180 EUR, although this might vary by region.
