Xiaomi’s President, Lu Weibing, recently provided insights regarding the upcoming release of the Mi Mix Fold 3 device. According to Weibing, the company plans to launch the product in China during August. Notably, the device has already been sighted on the 3C certification website, which suggests that the launch is imminent.

Furthermore, a new addition to Xiaomi’s Pad 6 series was also discovered on the Bluetooth SIG listing. Subsequently, the device was also found on the 3C certification website, implying that the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max is drawing near. According to a report from Xiaomiui, the Chinese tech giant intends to unveil numerous products during the launch event, including the highly anticipated Mi Mix Fold 3.

Upcoming products

According to a recent Xiaomiui report, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi K60 Ultra smartphone in early August, exclusively in China. However, the highly anticipated Mi Mix Fold 3 foldable device and Xiaomi Pad 6 Max tablet will be unveiled separately in China, at their respective events.

The report reveals that the software for both the Mi Mix Fold 3 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Max has already been made available on the official MIUI server. The Mi Mix Fold 3, codenamed Babylon, will come equipped with MIUI for FOLD 14.1 based on Android 13 straight out of the box. Its recent internal MIUI build carries the version number MIUI-V14.1.1.0.TMVCNXM. However, Xiaomi seems to have planned to release the Mi Mix Fold 3 exclusively in the Chinese market.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, codenamed Yudy, will run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 from the beginning. However, the report suggests that the tablet will not be launched in international markets and will be limited to China only.

The 3C certification of both the tablet and Fold 3 devices indicates support for 67W fast charging technology, although further specifications of the tablet remain unknown at this time.

Xiaomi’s President previously announced that the Mi Mix Fold 3 would be manufactured in a new smart factory located in China. The device is expected to boast a quad rear camera setup with flagship sensors, including a 50MP Sony IMX858 primary sensor alongside ultra-wide-angle, telephoto, and periscope lenses. Additionally, the Mi Mix Fold 3 is rumored to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and support 50W wireless charging technology, following in the footsteps of Xiaomi’s flagship smartphones.
