For the past few generations, the look of Samsung’s book-style foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold has been roughly the same in terms of design. It seems that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will get a new look, though, as a fresh leak has revealed.
Ice Universe, a well-known and reliable Samsung tipster, has shown off what is claimed to be the rear camera housing for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The new design features a metal rail around the camera lens itself with some added texture as well. Even looking at Samsung’s other lineups, it’s a very new look for the company.
The image itself may give us an idea of what to expect, but it’s worth noting that the picture is at least partially AI-generated as per a watermark in the bottom corner.
But still, any news regarding a fresh design is welcome. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series has had more or less the same exact outer design for the past three generations with three camera lenses popping out of a raised section of the device. It fits in well with Samsung’s current design language, but it’s getting a bit boring.
Samsung is also rumored to be upgrading the camera setup on Galaxy Z Fold 6, but rumors haven’t been too solid on that front.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 and other devices are set to launch in July.
