Pixel Watch owners, rejoice – Google recently announced that it was bringing over the latest April 2024 software update for Pixel Watches running Wear OS 4, which packs some much-welcome security fixes, as well as a couple of new features. The update comes with version number TWD9.240405.001 for global models, and includes the Pixel Watch and Watch 2.

With that in mind, the update includes two notable new features, as per Google’s official support page:

Vibration Watch

  • Current time plays in haptics when the user gestures on the watch face

Auto-brightness improvement:

  • Provide improved experience in auto-brightness settings screen for user to easily perceive the difference when switching levels

Pixel Watch users can check for the update by heading into their Settings app, head on over to System and then tap on System Updates.

In other Wear OS news, Mobvoi also announced new software updates for several of its devices, including the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, and the TicWatch E3. The update packs some new features for Mobvoi’s wearables, including an option to pick a desired shortcut for the secondary function key, a fix for an issue with Bluetooth calling, as well as updated security patches.
