Following the roll-out of updates for its older smartwatch models, it looks like Mobvoi is currently working on bringing the latest Wear OS version 4 to its flagship TicWatch Pro 5 smartwatch.

READ: Several Mobvoi Smartwatches are Getting a New Update

Posting via its official Facebook account, the company recently announced that it was recruiting users for its Wear OS 4 beta testing program. Interested TicWatch Pro 5 owners can sign up through a questionnaire by April 30th, and those chosen will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to keep beta program details confidential; additionally, feedback will be collected through a private group chat.

While Mobvoi hasn’t revealed a specific release date for the public Wear OS 4 update, this beta program is a positive sign for TicWatch Pro 5 users. However, it’s unclear if the update will be available for older Mobvoi models like the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra.

Launched in 2023, the TicWatch Pro 5 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 Wearable Platform, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. It also boasts a variety of sensors for health and fitness tracking, including an accelerometer, heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, skin temperature sensor, gyroscope, barometer, and compass.
