Samsung Galaxy Watch FE could launch earlier than expected – Phandroid

It is largely expected that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Watch FE at the Galaxy Unpacked event this July. But the company might have other plans because according to a post on X by Arsene Lupin, the Galaxy Watch FE might be announced this month.

According to the post, the tipster claims that the Galaxy Watch FE could launch as early as the 24th of June. Why the change in launch date? It’s hard to say, but we imagine that it might be due to the fact that it’s not a particularly exciting device.

Don’t get us wrong. It could be an important device for Samsung to try and gain access to the lower-end market for wearables. But in terms of tech, it won’t be the most exciting smartwatch. Plus, it could also end up overshadowing or stealing the spotlight from Samsung’s other wearables. This includes the Galaxy Watch 7 series and the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra which looks pretty cool.

So far leaked renders of the Galaxy Watch FE don’t show us anything particularly new or exciting. Leaked prices for the smartwatch have suggested that it could be about $100 cheaper than the base Galaxy Watch 6, so that might be something to look forward to. Either way, if the 24th of June launch if true, we won’t have to wait too long to find out.
