Samsung’s Galaxy Book 4 laptops go on sale globally on February 26

More than two months after its official announcement, Samsung’s new Galaxy Book 4 line of laptops is ready to hit retail shelves across the globe. The lineup consists of four models, the Galaxy Book 4 360, Galaxy Book 4 Pro, Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360, and Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, and went on sale in Korea at the beginning of 2024.

From February 26, the Galaxy Book 4 series will be available in markets such as France, Germany, the U.K., and the US, or at least the Book 4 Pro, Book 4 Pro 360, and Book 4 Ultra will. The Book 4 360 seems to be limited to select countries such as India at the moment.

The Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is unsurprisingly the top-of-the-line model here, with features such as an Nvidia RTX 4000 series GPU (RTX 4050 or RTX 4070), Intel’s Core Ultra 7/Ultra 9 processors, and up to 2TB storage and 64GB of RAM. It also has a redesigned cooling system that is better at whisking away the heat while being quieter.

For the Galaxy Book 4 Pro and Book 4 Pro 360, Samsung is offering the choice of an Intel Core Ultra 5 or Ultra 7 CPU with Intel Arc graphics, up to 32GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of SSD storage. All three models come with a 2880×1800 48-129Hz variable refresh rate 16-inch AMOLED touchscreen, though the Book 4 Pro also has a 14-inch option.

As expected, the Book 4 Pro 360 is a convertible laptop that can turn into a tablet. It also comes bundled with an S Pen, so it’s the most attractive option for those who regularly use stylus input on their Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, or Galaxy Z Fold smartphone.

All Book 4 Pro models also come with features such as a backlit keyboard with numeric keypad quad AKG-tuned speakers with Dolby Atmos support, studio quality dual microphones, a 2-megapixel camera for video calls, two Thunderbolt ports, dedicated USB Type-A and HDMI (up to 5K@120Hz or 8K@60Hz) ports, and a microSD slot for storage expansion.

The 16-inch models are all equipped with a 76Wh battery, while the 14-inch Book 4 Pro gets a 63Wh battery. Charging speeds top out at 65W for the non-Ultra models and 140W for the Ultra model. All models support Wi-Fi 6E (802.11 ax 2×2) and Bluetooth v5.3 connectivity.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Book 4 lineup with Windows 11 Home and features such as the ability to use a Galaxy phone as a webcam or a Galaxy tablet as a second screen. Samsung is even calling these AI PCs, though the AI features are based on Microsoft Copilot, which integrates with the Messages app on Galaxy phones and tablets and offers capabilities such as intelligent summaries of messages and reply suggestions.
